Adjustable Gastric Band

Adjustable Gastric Band

The adjustable gastric band is adhered to the upper side of the stomach to form a gastric sac at the end of the band. As a result of this process, the patient is allowed to eat less food. Thanks to the mechanism placed in the abdomen, the band can be inflated from the outside and the passage of nutrients to the body can be adjusted. Foods are digested in the stomach as it should. When the ideal weight is reached, the band is loosened. Nowadays, it is not a preferred method.
